You already know the value of amazing wedding photos. But with so many photographers to choose from, how do you hire the best one? Follow these three simple principles (within your budget, of course), and you’ll be on the right track.
1. Find a Photographer Whose Work You Like
Do you prefer photos with a modern style or a traditional look? Do you like bright, vibrant colours, or desaturated, vintage tones? You might have to review a lot of portfolios to figure out what you love, but when you find it, you’ll know.
My style is bright, vibrant, and timeless. If that speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you.
2. Find a Photographer Who You Like Personally
You’ll spend more time with your photographer than anyone else on your wedding day, so make sure you get along! Meet with lots of photographers to see if it's a fit before you decide, and ask them lots of questions like these.
I’m thrilled to remain in touch with many couples whose weddings I’ve photographed, and several have even become great friends of mine. I’d love to meet you too.
2. Find a Photographer You Can Trust
Your wedding photographer has a big responsibility – not just to capture great photos, but to keep them safe at all times and deliver them to you in a reasonable time. When you meet with potential wedding photographers, ask them to demonstrate their professionalism.
Camera memory cards are always on my person during your wedding, and I keep your photos backed up in at least three places at all times during processing. Finally, I commit to delivering your wedding photos within two weeks of your wedding, guaranteed. Simple and transparent!
